How I work with You

I’m Kailey, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a background in critical care nursing. That foundation shaped the way I practice — I pay close attention, I don’t rush, and I take the time to understand the full picture of who you are before we ever talk about a treatment plan. Having watched people I care about navigate these challenges in their own daily lives, I bring more than clinical training to this work — I bring genuine understanding of what it actually feels like to live with, or alongside, a mental health condition.

Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and medication isn’t always the first or only answer. I take an integrative, whole-person approach to mental health care — one that considers not just your symptoms, but the full context of your life. I’ve seen how conditions like ADHD, anxiety, and depression ripple into relationships, routines, and self-worth, and I take all of that seriously.

Together, we’ll explore what actually supports your well-being, which may include:
Medication management | Behavioral strategies | Nutrition & diet | Movement & exercise | Sunlight & sleep | Support systems | Trauma-informed care

I’m a good listener. I ask questions, I sit with your answers, and I don’t rush to conclusions. Getting to know you — not just your diagnosis — is the foundation of everything I do.

Parallel Mental Health and Wellness is a safe, affirming space for all people. I proudly welcome LGBTQIA+ individuals, and I am committed to providing culturally humble, trauma-informed care that honors the diversity of every person’s identity, background, and lived experience. I believe that feeling safe with your provider isn’t a luxury — it’s a prerequisite for real healing. You deserve a space where all of you is welcome.

Whether you’ve been struggling for years or are just beginning to wonder if something could feel different — you don’t have to figure it out alone. Taking the first step is often the hardest part, and I’m here when you’re ready.

I work with adults navigating a wide range of mental health conditions and life challenges, including:

Not sure if what you’re experiencing falls into one of these categories? That’s okay — reach out anyway. Many people come to me not quite knowing how to name what they’re going through, and that’s exactly what the first appointment is for.
